Products
Since the start of the company CAMCO has always been at the front line with its innovative, state-of-the-art gate automation systems. The company develops a wide range of hardware- and software products that help terminal operators, railroads and port authorities accelerate their activities, minimize gate and terminal processing time and maximize efficiencies, productivity and security.
OCR & Condition Tracking Camera Portal
The CAMCO OCR Camera Portal is the leading-edge camera system that incorporates the acquisition of high-resolution images for condition checking and damage claims management, and automatic identification of truck and container(s) via Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
With an installed base of well over 150 installations worldwide and proven OCR accuracy rates exceeding 98%, the CAMCO OCR Camera Portal is widely recognized in the market as being the "Best of Class".

Train OCR Portal - TrainGate
The Train OCR Portal provides the automatic inspection and identification of containers that are transported via rail. In addition it also generates specific images of the rail cars in order to identify their numbers.
TrainGate allows the creation of a virtual train configuration via the Train Operator Console. This console has a powerful graphical interface that allows operators to visually inspect the condition of the containerized cargo, and correct OCR results. It eliminates the unsafe physical inspection of the train, and allows a centralized inspection and validation in a safe office environment.
LPR/ ANPR Reader
Today LPR (License Plate Reader) or ANPR (Automated Number Plate Reader) systems are common technology with numerous applications in parking access systems, speed control and management systems. The performance requirements for LPR systems in gate automation solutions are much higher and more difficult to reach. It is thus very important to chose the correct system and crosscheck all the features and benefits.
Crane OCR
Crane OCR systems are one of the latest new developments in gate automation. They provide a solution to automatically identify containers when loaded and off-loaded with ship-to-shore and gantry cranes.
Kiosk - Pedestal Systems
The Kiosk systems are typically installed in the gate lanes. They are operated by the truck drivers delivering and picking-up containers or trailers.
The CAMCO kiosk systems are specifically designed to facilitate and automate the data entry and booking registration processes, improving the efficiency of the gate operations and limiting the interventions of gate staff.
GRID Kiosk
The GRID Kiosk provides a significant improvement and increased efficiency, productivity and safety of the container transfer during the interchange processes.
It automates the identification of the truck driver at the start of this transfer process, and provides a clear and straightforward graphical communication during the rest of the process.
GOS (Gate Operating System)
The GOS is the comprehensive suite of software applications for executing complete and complex gate processes and for integrating different technologies used in modern terminal operations.
The GOS consists of several modular software components. Some of them are specifically developed for each gate project, while others are standard components that are customized through configuration. This concept provides an optimal balance between flexibility and stability, allowing CAMCO to deliver to each terminal a tailor-made gate process within time and budget.
RFID Truck Driver ID- and Vehicle ID-cards
For a successful implementation of a comprehensive gate automation solution, the introduction of a truck driver RFID-based ID-card system can be very helpful. RFID cards are perfect tokens to accurately track and trace vehicles as well as people that are present on a terminal. Correct identification can reduce the number of help desk interventions significantly
The same card technology can also be used in access control systems to comply with the ISPS code.
