Trucker/Vehicle ID card
For a successful implementation of a gate automation system, the truck driver-ID card is a prerequisite. A RFID card is the perfect token to accurately track and follow trucks on a terminal.
More and more ports and terminals have to comply with the ISPS code, trucker-id cards makes this kind of obligation much easier and economical.
Security Kiosk
This Security Kiosk is used in terminals where a truck card ID system is introduced. It is typically installed at the entrance and exit of the terminal, in front of the OCR Camera portal(s). It allows unmanned and centralized truck driver identification and validations as well as automatic logging of all drivers on-site as required by the ISPS code.
In some cases the security kiosk is also used to enter and validate pre-booking and pre-announcement data.
OCR Camera Portal
The OCR systems developed by CAMCO is proving to be the fastest in the market, with the ability to process up to 500 trucks per hour, per OCR portal. The OCR system is also the most accurate, with accuracy continuously in excess of 98%. In addition the OCR portals generate per truck passage a set of high resolution images that are used to record the exact condition of truck and container(s). The speed, accuracy and reliability of the OCR Camera portal makes the introduction and servicing of gate automation systems very cost-effective.
Gate Transaction Kiosk
The Gate transaction kiosks are installed in the gate lanes processing the inbound and outbound trucks and containers. The kiosk systems are specifically designed by CAMCO to operate in all aggressive weather conditions, day and night. Each kiosk has typically a LCD Touch screen, intercom, multi-card reader and ticket printer allowing automated identification, data collection and validation, and EIR / TID printing without the intervention of a gate clerk.
Crane OCR
OCR in Quayside cranes is one of the areas getting more interest of the terminal managers. Although this solution exists already since 2005 from several vendors, a breakthrough seems to take more time.
Traffic Control System
To have a smooth traffic flow and accurate access control, a system comprising traffic barriers, traffic lights, LPR readers, traffic guidance panels can be deployed. Besides the usage of reliable hardware that works in all weather conditions, it is mainly the software-based management of it that provides an automated traffic control system. This software is one of the standard GOS modules that is customized through configuration.
Gate Operating System GOS
The GOS is the centralized software applications suite that manages and steers all the terminal gate processes and sub-processes. It is comprised of multiple software modules, some of them being customer specific software developments and others generic building blocks customized through configuration.
The GOS takes care of all interfaces with the installed systems and sub-systems, and with the the TOS and possible other host systems (Customs, Access Control...). The GOS is the most complete software tool available in the market providing terminals the capacity to increase the efficiencies and productivity while limiting the operational costs.
