Travel, teamwork, and tangible impact
I joined Camco in October as a Junior Project Software Developer. I first heard about the company through a friend who already worked here, and what drew me in was the opportunity to travel.
My first project took me to Turkey. It was an intense but amazing experience. Working closely with local people made it special. I got to experience the culture in such a different way. And spending time with colleagues outside of work helped me build stronger connections with the team. There were challenges, of course, but with my coach there, it never felt overwhelming.
One thing I love about Camco is its smaller size. You get to know your team and other colleagues quickly. Even as a junior, I got a lot of responsibility early on, but always with support from my mentor. And it’s incredibly rewarding to deliver a project and see it working. You really feel the impact of what you do.
Camco uses its own software system. It’s like our own coding dialect, I’d say. That makes the work challenging and unique, and gives me a sense of security in times of AI. What we do here is so specific and unique. Plus, I get to work with real experts, which is great for my growth and learning.
There’s always something to do. If you’re looking for a job where you can just sit back and do nothing, Camco’s not the place for you! (laughs) But I love that energy. I enjoy solving problems on my own and having client contact. It gives you a chance to put your own stamp on the project. You’re trusted to take the lead, but there’s always a safety net if you need one.
