Founded on a vision
In 1999, Jan Bossens founded Camco after selling his first IT company. While exploring new opportunities, Jan seized on emerging technologies like wireless data transfer and imaging. In this period of innovation, he encountered a challenge at roll-on/roll-off terminals—developing an automated system for capturing truck photos before boarding ships. The success of this project significantly reduced damage claims and uncovered fraudulent activities at other terminals.

Our mission is to develop solutions that enhance the efficiency and safety of terminals. We automate the registration process for containers, trucks, wagons, and trailers, speeding up data availability. This not only streamlines terminal operations but also prioritizes environmental impact and employee safety. In this way, we contribute to a more sustainable future for global containerized cargo transport. This focus on terminal efficiency, grounded in data, has propelled Camco Technologies to its current status as a world leader in the niche market of automatic container identification and location systems.
